Larry has represented clients in a variety of lawsuits in his 30 years in practice, which includes representation of hospitals, legal and medical practitioners, non-profit organizations, insurance companies, and other major corporations. He has successfully prosecuted and defended jury trials, obtained summary judgments, or obtained favorable settlements in cases involving managed care contract disputes, professional negligence, breach of contract, employment relations, workers compensation, peer review, products liability, director and officer liability, and insurance coverage. Mr. Hallman has consulted on a wide variety of operational and administrative legal issues including managed care contracts and payment disputes, contracting of services, operating agreements, bylaw revisions, conducting peer review hearings for public and private institutions, insurance coverage and compliance with state and federal due process.
Larry has extensive experience representing hospitals and other health care providers against insurance companies and managed care companies. These disputes have involved statutory and contractual prompt payment violations, underpayments, contract interpretation issues, and preemption arguments under ERISA, Medicare and Medicaid. His clients include Baylor Health Care System, Methodist Hospitals of Dallas, Valley Baptist Medical Center, Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Southwest General Hospital, Lubbock Heart Hospital, and Tenet Healthcare Organization. Mr. Hallman has successfully obtained settlements and judgments from major Health Maintenance Organizations, Preferred Provider Organizations, Provider Networks, and Third Party Administrators in various arbitrations and in state and federal court.
